About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Performance Lead to join our Care at Home team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Care at Home, this role will be responsible for driving commercial performance, operational improvement and decision support across the business.
Working at the intersection of Finance, Operations, Workforce and Performance, you will help leaders better understand business performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives that enhance service delivery, financial sustainability and operational effectiveness.
This is far more than a reporting role. We are seeking someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate, identifying root causes of performance challenges and partnering with stakeholders to deliver practical solutions that create measurable outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders across Finance, Operations and Care at Home services to improve visibility of business performance, strengthen decision-making capability and support the delivery of strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Performance & Business Insights
- Provide commercial analysis and performance insights across financial, operational and workforce metrics.
- Identify trends, risks, opportunities and emerging issues impacting business performance.
- Develop performance dashboards, reporting frameworks and executive insights.
- Support budgeting,
forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for operational leaders.
- Deliver meaningful analysis that supports informed decision-making.
Performance Improvement & Optimisation
- Identify and lead initiatives that improve revenue performance, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement improvement plans.
- Track performance outcomes and benefits realisation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the Care at Home portfolio.
- Establish performance measures and monitoring frameworks.
- Drive accountability for improvement outcomes.
Workforce & Operational Performance
- Analyse workforce utilisation, staffing models and workforce performance indicators.
- Identify workforce risks, productivity opportunities and capacity challenges.
- Support workforce planning and resource optimisation activities.
- Provide insights to support sustainable workforce and service delivery models.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve performance while maintaining service quality.
Strategic Projects & Transformation
- Lead commercial workstreams within transformation and improvement programs.
- Develop business cases and investment evaluations.
- Support implementation of new systems, processes and operating models.
- Ensure strategic initiatives deliver intended financial and operational outcomes.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Care at Home services.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering
- Build trusted relationships with operational, finance and executive stakeholders.
- Act as a strategic advisor on business performance and improvement opportunities.
- Present analysis, recommendations and performance updates to senior leaders.
- Influence decision-making through insight-led conversations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, commercial awareness and continuous improvement.

You bring a blend of financial, operational and strategic capability and are comfortable working across functions to understand challenges, influence stakeholders and deliver sustainable outcomes.

You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated at least 5 years experience in commercial performance, business partnering, operational finance, business improvement or consulting roles.
- Solid financial and commercial acumen.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Experience developing performance reporting, dashboards and business insights.
- Experience identifying and implementing operational and financial improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Experience working with senior leaders and influencing decision-making.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
- Strong project management and change management experience.
- The ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations and actions.
- A continuous improvement mindset and passion for delivering results.
Highly Regarded
- Experience within healthcare, aged care, community services or other complex service environments.
- Experience supporting business transformation programs.
- Exposure to workforce planning, workforce optimisation or service design initiatives.
- Experience developing business cases and commercial evaluations.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI or enterprise reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare funding and operational models.
