About the role
Kerima Care is recruiting reliable, proactive and experienced Community Support Workers to join a dedicated support team for a customer living in Glenmore Park. The customer requires active, structured and consistent support at home and in the community. This is a hands-on role for workers who understand that quality support involves meaningful engagement, prompting, personal care, risk awareness, teamwork and accurate documentation—not simply being physically present.
Key responsibilities
- Support the customer with community participation and planned outings.
- Engage the customer in meaningful activities and daily routines.
- Provide active prompting, redirection and assistance.
- Support personal care, including showering, dressing, toileting, continence-pad changes, oral hygiene and grooming.
- Assist with meals, food safety and monitoring food and fluid intake.
- Identify foreseeable risks and intervene promptly to maintain the customer's safety.
- Follow the customer's Behaviour Support Plan and approved support strategies.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to behaviours of concern.
- Observe and report changes in the customer's presentation, wellbeing or behaviour.
- Complete accurate progress notes, ABC charts and incident reports when required.
Note: There is CCTV survellance on the house

- Comfortable providing full personal and continence care.
- Physically capable of performing the inherent requirements of the role.
- Reliable,
punctual and committed to consistent attendance.
- Able to follow written support plans and workplace instructions.
- Respectful of family involvement and cultural considerations.
- Solid team players who communicate respectfully and share responsibilities fairly.
- Capable of writing clear, factual and detailed support documentation.
Essential requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Valid Australian driver licence.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Relevant experience supporting people with complex disability and behavioural support needs.
- Ability and willingness to provide personal and continence care.
- Availability for a combination of morning, afternoon, evening and weekend shifts.
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification.
- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.
- Experience providing active support within a 2:1 staffing environment.
- Experience supporting customers with limited communication and reduced awareness of everyday risks.
- Medication-assistance training or relevant competency.
- Experience completing ABC charts and incident documentation.
CCTV surveillance notice Please be advised that CCTV surveillance operates at the customer’s residence for safety, security, safeguarding and incident-review purposes. Cameras do not operate in bathrooms or other private personal-care areas. All recordings are managed in accordance with applicable privacy requirements and Kerima Care policies.
By accepting shifts at this location, workers acknowledge that they have been informed of the CCTV surveillance.
Cultural capability
Applicants who speak Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi or Nepali, or who have experience supporting customers from Pakistani or Nepalese cultural backgrounds, are strongly encouraged to apply. Cultural understanding and effective communication with the customer and family will be highly regarded.
Visa sponsorship
Subclass 482 visa sponsorship may be considered for eligible employees after 12–24 months of demonstrated reliability, consistent performance and satisfactory conduct. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and remains subject to:
- the employee meeting all immigration and occupational requirements;
- an appropriate eligible position being available;
- satisfactory performance and attendance;
- Kerima Care’s operational requirements; and
- applicable migration legislation at the time of assessment.
Applicants must hold valid Australian work rights for the period before any sponsorship is approved. Pay: $77,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
