The Role

Our client is a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Head of Technology to provide strategic leadership across its technology function.

n

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for shaping and delivering the organisation's technology strategy, ensuring technology investments and capabilities support business growth, operational performance and high-quality customer outcomes.

n

Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will provide strategic direction while maintaining oversight of the organisation's technology operations, transformation agenda, suppliers, systems and service delivery.

n

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technology function across strategic, tactical and operational activities.
n
- Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with broader business objectives.
n
- Provide trusted technology advice to the Leadership Team.
n
- Lead major technology projects, transformation initiatives and programs of work.
n
- Ensure technology initiatives deliver measurable business value and positive customer outcomes.
n
- Oversee technology governance, standards, policies, systems and service delivery.
n
- Lead the selection, performance and ongoing management of technology vendors and strategic suppliers.
n
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation and with external partners.
n
- Lead, develop and support high-performing technology teams.
n




- Manage technology budgets across both operational and capital expenditure.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, security and business performance through technology.
n
- Maintain an appropriate balance between operational requirements, technology risk and security.
n
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and assess their potential application to the organisation.
n
- Drive continuous improvement across technology services, processes and capabilities.
n
- Ensure technology activities comply with relevant legislation, governance requirements, policies and organisational standards.
n
- Promote a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and skilled service delivery.

About You

n

You will be an experienced technology leader with a strong track record of operating at a senior management or executive level.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related discipline.
n
- Significant experience leading technology functions within complex organisations.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing complex technology environments and service delivery functions.
n




- Proven experience developing and implementing technology strategies.
n
- A strong track record delivering technology transformation and change programs.
n
- Experience managing end-to-end technology budgets, including CAPEX and OPEX.
n
- Strong commercial and financial management capability.
n
- Experience managing technology suppliers, vendors and external service providers.
n
- A sound understanding of information security, technology risk and governance.
n
- The ability to translate technology strategy into measurable business outcomes.
n
- Strong program and project leadership capability.
n
- A demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
