We're looking for a motivated and client-focused Consultant to join our Private Clients team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships, delivering quality advice, and helping businesses and individuals achieve their financial goals.

The Opportunity

As a Consultant within our Private Clients team, you'll work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries, supporting the preparation of financial statements, tax compliance obligations and business advisory matters.

Working alongside experienced Managers and Partners, you'll develop your technical expertise while building strong client relationships and contributing to the delivery of exceptional client service.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Assisting clients with taxation, compliance and accounting requirements.
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and other regulatory lodgements.
- Supporting the preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
- Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and business outcomes.
- Building robust working relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact.
- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory engagements.




- Working collaboratively with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
- Conducting research into taxation and accounting issues and applying practical solutions.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with professional standards.
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys working closely with clients, solving problems and continuously developing your technical skills. You're proactive, organised and committed to delivering exceptional service.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- 2 to 5 years' experience within a public practice accounting environment.
- Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a broad range of entities.
- Sound understanding of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.
- Progress towards or completion of a CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong client service skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, XPM or similar platforms.
