Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer, operator and facilities manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyard, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for planning, designing, constructing and managing all shipyard infrastructure.

ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator, to join our Project Delivery team in our Osborne office. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the commercial management of infrastructure projects across their lifecycle, working closely with project teams to manage adherence to organisational processes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Manage and actively contribute to procurement processes including in the assembly and issue of tender documentation, negotiation of contract terms with the support of organisational procurement and legal functions.

· Actively contribute to and support project teams in managing the commercial administration of multiple contracts across complete projects lifecycle.

· Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

· Administer contract variations and extension of time claims, including identification, assessment, notification, and negotiation.

· Support project financial management, including, forecasting, and monthly reporting.

· Oversee and actively support the payment process, including claims, certifications, invoicing, and payments.

· Administer the identification and management of project risks by project delivery teams.

· Prepare and manage contractual documentation and correspondence.

· Undertake additional duties as required to support project delivery.

About You:

Ideally you will have significant experience in the administration of multiple construction contracts concurrently.



This position has relative autonomy and is expected to show a high degree of expertise, initiative and independence in ensuring compliance with ANI policies, legislation, codes of practice, guidelines, policies and the discharge of accountabilities and duties.

A sound understanding of procurement processes, Australian construction contracts and cost management, ideally with some experience working for tier 1 contractors will be highly regarded. You are an experienced and confident construction professional with a desire to further develop your skills in infrastructure project delivery.

You are a detail-oriented, adaptable and proactive professional with strong organisational and communications skills. You demonstrate sound judgement, integrity, and a high level of professionalism, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a quick paced, multi-disciplinary environment. A solid history in the management of significant projects in similar environments would be advantageous.

You will also have:

· Minimum 5 years working as a contract administrator working within multi-disciplinary construction delivery teams.

· Completion of a Construction Management Degree or a similar field.

· Proficiency working with the full range of Microsoft Office applications.

· Proficiency working with contracts administration specific software applications, Jobpac, Cheops, TechOne or similar.

· Well-established interpersonal skills with proven ability to liaise effectively within a wide range of stakeholders.
