As the Contract Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will provide independent assurance that contracted works are delivered to the standards expected by TasNetworks, our customers and regulatory obligations. The role will strengthen confidence in contractor performance by ensuring contractual, technical, quality, safety and environmental requirements are consistently met. Through a risk-based approach to assurance, you'll help identify issues before they become recurring problems, improve control effectiveness and provide leaders with clear visibility of quality outcomes across works delivery.

Working closely with contract managers, works delivery teams, technical specialists and contractors, you'll be a trusted source of assurance insight and practical advice. Your influence will extend beyond audit and inspection activity, contributing to the development of quality frameworks, consistent assurance practices and continuous improvement initiatives across Contract Performance & Delivery. By analysing trends, assessing contractor performance and supporting effective corrective actions, you'll help improve governance, reduce repeat defects and support the safe, efficient delivery of critical infrastructure works.

Responsibilities Also Include

- Deliver risk-based assurance activities across contracted works, including audits, inspections and quality reviews, to verify compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and control effectiveness, providing clear reporting and recommendations that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Manage non-conformances through investigation, root-cause analysis and verification of corrective actions to reduce repeat issues and improve quality outcomes.
- Support and maintain the QA/QC framework, assurance plans and quality systems that underpin consistent and effective contract oversight.

About You You're a quality professional who brings credibility in the field and confidence in the office. Whether your experience has been built in construction, utilities, infrastructure or another operational environment, you're known for balancing compliance and assurance requirements with a practical understanding of how work gets done. You can interpret contracts, plans and technical documentation, assess the effectiveness of existing controls and identify practical opportunities to strengthen quality outcomes. Colleagues value your ability to ask the right questions, uncover the facts and communicate findings in a way that leads to action. You build trust quickly,

maintain professional independence and are comfortable addressing difficult issues while preserving productive working relationships. Equally comfortable working autonomously or alongside operational teams, you bring a continuous improvement mindset and a reputation for lifting standards, strengthening governance and supporting consistent delivery outcomes.

You’ll Also Bring

- Relevant qualifications in quality, auditing, engineering, construction, safety, environment, governance or a related discipline.
- Experience developing and improving quality assurance, compliance or governance frameworks within operational or project delivery environments.
- Demonstrated capability in audit, inspection or assurance activities, including identifying root causes and supporting effective corrective action.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to use risk and performance data to inform assurance priorities and recommendations.
