About the Business

NR Enterprise Holdings Pty Ltd trading as Two Sugars on Pako is an established café and restaurant located on Pakington Street in Geelong West.

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

About the Role The Cook will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of menu items, maintaining food quality and presentation, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently during service.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food in accordance with menu requirements and established recipes
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks, garnishes and other kitchen components
- Cook a variety of dishes to a consistent standard
- Prepare and cook menu items as required
- Undertake general commercial cooking duties across the kitchen
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation
- Ensure food is prepared, handled and stored in accordance with food safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen
- Assist with stock control, receiving deliveries and stock rotation
- Minimise food wastage and maintain appropriate food storage
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff and management




- Assist with general kitchen duties as required

Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience working as a Cook/Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Demonstrated experience in general commercial cooking and food preparation
- Experience preparing and cooking a variety of menu items
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable and professional work ethic

Applicants must hold a relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field.
