About The Chance

Genus is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team and support the delivery of the Parron Wind Farm Project.

Genus has been engaged to deliver the design and construction of high-voltage infrastructure works for a new Western Power Transmission Terminal Station, supporting one of Western Australia's significant renewable energy developments.

This large-scale transmission and renewable energy project requires strong financial controls, stakeholder engagement skills, analytical capability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project excellence in a dynamic project environment.

Your Day-to-day Activities Will Include

- Preparing project budget variation reports, forecasts, actual cost reports and expenditure reporting
- Maintaining and updating project cost databases and forecasting models
- Producing monthly financial statements and project performance reports for Project Managers and Senior Leadership
- Monitoring project financial performance and identifying actual or potential cost impacts
- Supporting project teams with financial analysis, reporting and cost studies
- Providing accurate and timely reporting in accordance with project controls processes and procedures

About You

You're a detail-oriented, commercially minded and proactive Cost Controller who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys partnering with operational teams to deliver strong financial outcomes.

You Will Bring

- 5+ years' experience in Cost Control, ideally on projects valued at $20M+

- Experience within transmission, utilities, construction, energy or resources sectors
- Strong cost forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting capability
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Office and Power BI tools (Power Query/Power Pivot)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including reporting to senior management
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and experience on HV, transmission line, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects is highly regarded
