Locum Social Worker | Regional NT MARS Recruitment Darwin City, NT, AU

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker for a short-term locum contract, supporting patients across acute hospital services.

n

This is a great opportunity for a confident clinician looking for a well-supported regional hospital contract, with accommodation and travel covered.

The Role
n You will work across the acute hospital setting, providing clinical Social Work assessment, intervention and discharge support.

n

A significant component of the caseload involves Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) presentations, including both adults and children.

n

Responsibilities will include:

n

- Psychosocial and risk assessments
n
- Safety planning and crisis intervention
n
- Supporting adult and child DFSV presentations
n
- Coordinating appropriate hospital and community responses
n
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external services
n
- Discharge planning, referrals and ongoing support
n
- Providing high-quality Social Work intervention across acute services
n

- $75-$85 per hour + super, depending on experience
n

- Inbound and outbound travel reimbursed up to $1,200

- Short 3-week contract - ideal for clinicians between longer locum placements

- Opportunity to gain valuable regional and remote hospital experience

- Recognised Social Work qualification eligible for AASW membership
n
- Previous clinical Social Work experience
n
- Confidence working within an acute hospital environment
n
- Robust communication, assessment and crisis intervention skills
n
- DFSV, family violence and/or crisis response experience highly desirable
n
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Australian Working Rights- Working Holiday Visa's Welcome
