Career Employment Group Inc has multiple positions available for a Dental Assistant Trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in Encounter Bay. This is a part time position, working 4 days per week.

As part of this opportunity, you will undertake a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, where you will gain practical knowledge and skills while earning a wage at the same time.

What does a Dental Assistant Trainee do?

As a Dental Assistant Trainee, you will learn to prepare patients for dental examinations and assistant dental practitioners, hygienists and therapists in providing care and treatment. You may also learn to undertake the following tasks:

- greet patients and prepare them for treatment.
- mix materials for fillings, and sterilise and prepare instruments.
- arrange and hand instruments,



medication and dental materials to practitioners.
- prepare dental materials and develop X-rays.
- use suction devices and water sprays.
- act as a receptionist for dental practitioners, perform billings and other clerical tasks as required.

Position Requirements

- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical.
- Be willing to learn and be adaptable to changing work priorities.
- Be able to manage time efficiently and work well under pressure.
- Able to work a adaptable working schedule.
- Be committed to a long-term career in Dental Assisting.
