The key duties of the position include:

The Role

As an APS 6 Deputy Product Officer, you will support the delivery of capability outcomes within the Lead-In Fighter Training System and Advanced Test and Training Environment (ATTE).

The role contributes to products and services across training support, opposing forces, and facilitation, analysis, modelling and simulation capabilities, in partnership with Air Force and Navy stakeholders to enhance war fighter readiness.

You will work within an integrated team of military, APS and contractor personnel to support governance, reporting and sustainment outcomes.

The role includes contributing to enterprise management processes, including risk, change, financial planning and performance reporting, while engaging stakeholders to ensure capability requirements are met. You will apply sound judgement, manage competing priorities and support the continuous improvement of product management practices to achieve organisational outcomes.

About our Team The Air Warfare Systems Program Office (AWSPO) is located at RAAF Base Williamtown, delivering and sustaining Air Force capability as part of Aerospace Systems Division. AWSPO manages a diverse portfolio of acquisition and sustainment programs in partnership with industry, supporting operational readiness and national defence outcomes.

We are seeking an organised and motivated professional with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will demonstrate initiative,



sound judgement and resilience, with the ability to contribute to planning, governance and decision-making processes.

You will have experience or the ability to develop skills in product, project or asset management, with a focus on performance, risk management and achieving capability outcomes. Leadership potential and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are important.

The ideal candidate will understand the broader operational context, identify risks and opportunities, and adapt to changing priorities while supporting delivery against strategic objectives. A commitment to continuous learning and development is essential.

This position will be required to access US export controlled material and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) regulations.

Eligibility

Security Clearance:

Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at “Negative Vetting Level 1”.
