We are seeking a Digital Learning Specialist to join Fire Rescue Victoria on a part-time basis (0.6FTE), based in Burnley. The role is to coordinate and support the development and implementation of educational technologies, digital learning strategies, systems and products that provide blended learning and assessment capability. As the Digital Learning Specialist, you will provide expert advice that initiates process improvement, ensures best practice and develops Operational Training's digital learning programs
Functional Accontabilities
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of digital learning strategies, systems and solutions.
- Generate reports and analyse data from digital learning platforms to improve system effectiveness and process efficiency.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party technology providers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on digital learning technologies, providing advice and developing solutions.
- Support the testing, piloting, implementation, and continuous improvement of FRV's learning technologies.
- Induct and provide professional development to coordinators, instructors, and system administrators in the effective use of digital systems.
- Implement and maintain digital platforms that support learning, assessment and student record management.
- Develop and maintain digital document management and content-sharing solutions aligned with governance requirements.
The Team Operational Training is responsible to ensure Fire Rescue Victoria is operationally ready to respond in a timely, coordinated and appropriate manner to minimise the effects of fire and emergency events,
within the Metropolitan Melbourne and across the State of Victoria. This requires us to ensure our firefighters have world class equipment and training and are physically and mentally ready to perform their roles.

What you will need to Succeed
- A Diploma of Training Design and Development or equivalent qualification.
- Tertiary qualifications in eLearning Design, Educational Technologies or a related discipline are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing engaging learning and assessment resources using digital learning technologies.
- Experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia or similar platforms.
- Experience administering and supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong capability to train, support and guide users in the adoption of digital learning solutions.
- Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
