About CCS Supports
CCS Supports provides person-centred disability support across Adelaide, supporting people to live independently, participate in their communities and work towards goals that are meaningful to them. Our Community Support Workers provide practical, respectful and consistent support in participants’ homes and within the community. We focus on strong relationships, participant choice, reliability and quality support.
We are currently looking for experienced and motivated Community Support Workers to join our team.
About the role
As a Community Support Worker with CCS Supports, your role may include:
- Supporting participants to access the community and attend social activities
- Transport to appointments, shopping and everyday activities
- Supporting independence and daily living skills
- Meal preparation and domestic assistance
- Personal care where required
- Supporting participants to establish and maintain routines
- Assisting participants to work towards their individual goals
- Following support plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies where applicable
- Completing accurate progress notes and required documentation
- Reporting changes, concerns or incidents appropriately
- Maintaining qualified boundaries while respecting participant choice, dignity and privacy.
Each participant has different needs, preferences and goals. Worker matching is based on experience, availability, location and the individual needs of the participant.
About you
We are looking for support workers who are:
- Reliable, respectful and professional
- Genuinely engaged with the people they support
- Able to encourage independence rather than doing everything for the participant
- Patient and adaptable
- Confident working independently in the community
- Able to follow participant-specific plans and instructions
- Comfortable communicating with families, coordinators and the broader CCS Supports team
- Able to complete clear, accurate and timely documentation.
Previous disability support experience is highly regarded. A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability Support, Community Services or a related qualification is preferred. Applicants currently completing a relevant qualification may also be considered.
Required compliance
Successful applicants will need to hold or obtain:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- National Police Check where required
- Working with Children Check where required for the participant or role.
Participant-specific training may also be required depending on the supports you provide.
