About the role

Firstrate Care Services is looking for Disability Support Workers to join our team in Ipswich area, Queensland. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, helping them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client wellbeing and community inclusion
- Providing emotional support and encouraging client independence and self-determination
- Maintaining detailed records and reporting on client progress and any concerns
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- A current Working with Vulnerable People Check is required for this position
- Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure coordinated and integrated service delivery

What we're looking for

- Demonstrated experience in providing disability support or a similar care role
- A minimum of 6 months experience in disability support or similar care role is required
- A strong understanding of the principles of person-centred care and the ability to tailor your approach to individual client needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others
- A relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), or a willingness to work towards obtaining one
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
- Australian work rights are required for this position
