Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Divisional Director Medical to join the Division of Virtual Health.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role
This role requires strategic leadership and clinical oversight for Northern Health's virtual care services. Working in close partnership with the Divisional Director - Operations & Nursing, Virtual Health, the role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the division, driving innovation and continuous improvement, and optimising operational performance across virtual health services.
This Divisional Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, leading and supporting medical staff, driving workforce engagement and change management, ensuring clinical excellence and compliance,
managing resources effectively and building partnerships and contribute organisation-wide.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of senior clinical service development and organisational quality improvement
- Proven track record of excellence in Emergency Medicine with a demonstrated commitment to continued improvement, team work and research
- Demonstrated and ongoing commitment to education for yourself, colleagues, junior staff, other team members, and medical students
- Well-developed strategic thinking, operational management competency, innovation and decision making
- 5 + years’ experience in a medical leadership position
- Post-graduate studies or working towards (Master’s, PHD)
