Jogs for Dogs is a dog walking business based in Brisbane’s western suburbs (Chapel Hill). Position Description

Key areas of responsibility include picking up and dropping home dog customers safely, walking and jogging with groups of dogs on bush trails in all weather conditions, managing dog interactions, tracking each walk with GPS and taking high quality photos during the walk. The incumbent will be required to maintain communication with the business owner, particularly around scheduling dog walks and providing feedback on walks.

This job is for 3-5 shifts per week. Shifts are approximately 4.5 hours in duration. Start time is 7.45am and finishes by 12.30pm when the afternoon shift to take over.

Job Requirements The candidate is required to:





- Have experience trail running, and be comfortable jogging up and down hills on bush trails with a group of big dogs. Do you own trail running shoes?
- Be physically fit with no pre-existing injuries. Capable of jogging up and down Mt Coot-tha twice in a shift.
- Be an dog lover, and understand the benefits of practicing a positive reinforcement approach with dogs.
- Have experience with multiple breeds of dogs including large breeds.
- Have the ability to read basic dog body language.
- Manage groups of dogs, quickly defuse any potential altercations, and help to identify compatible dogs for groups.
- Competently and confidently drive our work vehicles. Have held a full drivers licence for five years.
- Use a GPS mobile app and take quality photos of dogs with their smartphone during the dog walks.
- Be an effective, reliable and motivated worker. Do you tend to get things done quickly? Do you move with purpose? To be a viable business our staff need to be on the go!
