About the role

WILS Restoration & Cleaning Services is seeking a qualified Draftsperson to join our growing Restoration Division.

We specialize in the restoration and reinstatement of residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mould and other damage. Our projects involve detailed assessment, restoration, repair and rebuilding works to return affected properties to a safe and functional condition.

Working as part of Restoration Division, the Draftsperson will prepare detailed technical drawings and plans to support restoration, repair and reinstatement projects. The role will work closely with our Structural Engineering Technologist and other building technicians, translating site information, technical specifications and project requirements into accurate drawings and documents.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed technical drawings, maps, plans, sections, elevations and construction details for building restoration, repair and reinstatement projects using AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software.
- Prepare drawings from site measurements, sketches, existing building plans, technical specifications and instructions provided by the Structural Engineering Technologist and other technicians.
- Attend project sites to take measurements, record existing conditions and collect information required for the preparation and updating of drawings.
- Prepare and update existing-condition, demolition, repair,



reinstatement and as-built drawings to reflect project requirements and site conditions.
- Interpret technical information, measurements and project specifications and incorporate the required details into drawings.
- Calculate dimensions, levels, areas, quantities and material requirements required for the preparation of drawings and project documentation.
- Review drawings against site conditions and project requirements, identify discrepancies and make amendments as required.
- Maintain accurate drawing files, revisions and technical records for restoration and reinstatement projects.

About you

- A diploma in Construction Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar drafting software.
- Ability to read and prepare technical/construction drawings.
- Solid site measurement and quantity calculation skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and building methods.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence preferred.
- Experience within building restoration, insurance repairs, construction or building damage assessment will be highly regarded.
