We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a casual basis, providing support during annual leave, personal leave, busy periods, and whenever the clinic needs an extra pair of capable hands.

About the Role

n

This is a casual Veterinary Nurse position. We're looking for someone who can confidently step into the clinic and assist across all areas of nursing.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Pre-operative and post-operative patient care
n
- Surgical nursing and theatre support
n
- Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
n
- Dental procedures and nursing support
n
- Animal pathology and diagnostic testing
n
- Medical and hospital nursing
n
- Emergency and critical care nursing support
n
- Team-based consulting
n
- Placement of intravenous catheters
n
- Blood collection and sample preparation
n
- Patient handling and restraint
n
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control
n
- Supporting reception and client service
n
- Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by phone, and via email
n

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys using their full skillset and being an active contributor to patient care.

About You

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
n
- Has a minimum of 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
n
- Is confident across both medical and surgical nursing
n
- Has strong anaesthetic monitoring skills
n
- Is confident with pathology collection, IV catheter placement, and blood sampling
n
- Enjoys both patient care and client-facing responsibilities
n
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
n




- Works well independently and within a team environment
n
- Has experience with Team-Based Care (highly regarded)
n
- Has knowledge of RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
n
- Is reliable, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
n
