About The Role

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will contribute to an engaging and contemporary curriculum that includes experiences such as bush play, movement and creative learning.

You will work collaboratively with children, families, colleagues and external services to provide meaningful and appropriately tailored learning experiences that support each child's development.

Your Responsibilities May Include

- Engaging with children through meaningful interactions, activities and group experiences.
- Supporting children to develop functional play skills, confidence and learning.
- Maintaining active supervision of children across all environments.
- Supporting daily routines, including cleaning and cooking experiences with children.
- Developing portfolios and documenting children's learning and development.
- Contributing to curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Participating in team meetings, critical reflection and continuous improvement activities.
- Building positive and respectful partnerships with families, colleagues and external professionals.
- Supporting communication about children's development with families and, where appropriate, schools and allied professionals.
- Promoting an inclusive program that reflects the Rights of the Child, the service philosophy and the ECA Code of Ethics.
- Undertaking required safety training and contributing to a strong culture of safety across the service.

Essential Requirements

- Completion of Diploma of Children's Services • Associate Diploma Social Studies (Child Care)
- Certificate Child Care Studies
- Child Care Certificate
- Certificate III - Child Studies; or other recognised relevant qualification in similar educational and child related disciplines eg. primary teaching, psychology, social welfare which are inclusive of child development and communication or working towards any of these qualifications.

- Current NSW Department of Education and Communities approved child protection and First Aid qualifications
