Full-Time | 38 Hours per Week

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + Superannuation

Superior Recruitment Services, on behalf of Dulwich Hill Childcare Centre, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join the centre's team in Hurlstone Park, NSW.

This is a full-time position offering an opportunity to contribute to the learning, development and wellbeing of young children within a supportive early childhood education environment.

About the Role The Early Childhood Teacher will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating high-quality educational programs and learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan, develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and learning experiences for young children.
- Plan and structure learning activities across indoor and outdoor environments using appropriate materials and educational resources.
- Promote children's literacy, numeracy, language, communication, creativity, motor skills and social development.
- Facilitate learning through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes, creative activities, and individual and group discussions.
- Observe and assess children's learning, development and progress and maintain appropriate educational records.
- Monitor children's health, safety and wellbeing and identify any developmental or welfare concerns requiring attention.
- Create a safe, inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment.




- Develop and maintain positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's learning, development, progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in parent meetings, staff meetings and relevant career development activities.
- Work collaboratively with educators, families and other relevant professionals to support positive outcomes for children.
- Ensure educational practices comply with applicable early childhood education requirements, service policies and relevant legislation.
- Supervise and support student teachers on placement where required.

Qualifications and Experience The successful applicant should have:

- A degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Appropriate Early Childhood Teacher registration/accreditation, or eligibility for registration/accreditation in NSW, where required.
- Relevant one year experience working in an early childhood education and care environment.
- Sound knowledge of early childhood learning and development principles and approved learning frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, document and evaluate educational programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with children, families and other educators.
- A current Working with Children Check, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong understanding of child safety, wellbeing and duty-of-care responsibilities.
