The Role The eHearings Technical Support will primarily assist with, and oversee, the IT infrastructure and hardware requirements of an eTrial environment, as well as ad hoc IT-related tasks. This includes fitting out Court Rooms, or other venues used for legal purposes, with evidence presentation equipment, network infrastructure, and audio/visual technology, as per project requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, this role will be suitable for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in Audio Visual Support looking to do something different. You will have:
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to deliver in a pressurised environment
- The ability to actively listen
- Hands on/client facing live production environment
- Basic knowledge of courtroom processes is desirable
- Knowledge of video switchers, routers, and livestreaming technologies such as OBS, Vimeo, Bluejeans and Zoom will be used extensively in this role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Daily testing of A/V and other hearing room equipment.
- Building court rooms and venues with IT and networking-related equipment
- Management and monitoring of live web streaming solutions
- Communicating with clients/legal teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Managing exhibit lists and databases
- Creating and managing metadata
- Maintaining confidential information and evidence
- Setting up courtroom servers,
and assisting with real-time transcription projects
This is a casual position based in Brisbane.
