Twin Towns Early Learning Centre is seeking passionate and dedicated Educators and Early Childhood Teachers to join our team in Tweed Heads NSW. We have space for educators of all qualifications now or in the new year, for those needing to give notice. We also have an exciting chance for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in 2027.
This is a permanent part-time position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives during their crucial early learning years. As an Educator or Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn and develop their potential. This position is essential to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care that supports children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.
As an Educator:
You will be involved in programming and planning based on children's needs, interests and developmental stages. You will hold child safety as a paramount consideration in all areas of the day, managing risks accordingly. You will be able to supervise and support children's learning in a play based environment, while also building positive relationships with children and families.
Teamwork is crucial in this role, where you will work alongside other educators within each learning group. A conscious response to health and hygiene matters throughout the day will help ensure a happy and healthy learning environment for our children, families and educators. You will be welcoming and inclusive to children, colleagues and families with different cultural backgrounds and developmental needs.
As an Early Childhood Teacher:
You will be responsible for a little more, on top of what an Educator will be doing.
You will be supporting children as they prepare for the transition to school upholding our high reputation in the community with our transition to school program. You will work alongside another Early Childhood Teacher who can support you to build your skills.
You will be comfortable having those tricky discussions with families about support for their child where needed and maintaining open communication between the service and families. Child safety will be of paramount consideration and you will role model this to all educators.
What we're looking for
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to starting. This will be verified.
- A relevant early childhood education qualification, such as a Degree, Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Completed Geccko Foundation Training Modules. Completed Geccko Advanced Training 3 and 4 is favourable (or willing to complete prior to starting)
- Completed Child Protection Training - course code CHCPRT025. (or willing to complete prior to starting)
- Holds full Australian working rights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and hygiene
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the diverse needs of children and families
- Previous experience working in early childhood education or childcare settings is highly valued
About Twin Towns Early Learning Centre Our service has been open since 2020 and offers play based learning to children from 6 weeks old - school age. Weekly incursions are offered across all age groups including Circus School, Music and Movement, Sport and Sustainability. In 2027 we're looking at the reintroduction of Cultural incursions on a frequent basis for all age groups. Our educators are supported by a management team of two educators who work five days a week, and have over 40 years combined experience in the sector.
