About Us:

Magellan Power is a local manufacturer of AC and DC backup power systems. The main site is located in Bibra Lake, WA.

As the company expands, we are seeking Electrical Assemblers for our Brisbane site. This role is for someone who has manufacturing assembly experience and is willing to work in a production-based setting.

This not for someone who is looking for Engineering or office-based job. This is not open for visa sponsorship as well.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assembly of Magellan’s suite of UPS and battery charges.
- Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
- Assemble electrical or electronic systems, support structures, and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using common hand tools and power tools.
- Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
- Fabricate or form parts, coils, or structures according to specifications, using drills, calipers, cutters, or saws.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are adhered to, lapses are reported, and checklists are completed.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team to discuss assembly procedures.
- Attends daily meetings with the Production Manager and reports job progress.
- Assisting other assembly staff with the best assembly practices.
- Timely completion of all tasks





Other responsibilities:

- Ensuring all work areas and equipment in the assembly are clean and tidy.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and policies.
- Adhere to the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) policies & procedures.
- Actively provide information regarding the development and maintenance of the company’s IMS.
- Suggest improvements and be active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure the company supports activities and services that are carried out reliably and cost-effectively.
- Report all known hazards and incidents to ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly as per company procedure.

Qualifications:

- At least Year 10 and above
- Must have experience in manufacturing assembly
- Must be a resident of Queensland
- Ability to use hand tools (electrical and mechanical assembly tools)
- Ability to follow checklists and learn the standard process
- Strong communication skills
