Our Queensland Engineering Services division provides electrical maintenance, testing, engineering, asset management, switchgear upgrades and specialist technical solutions to a diverse customer base.

We are looking for an Electrical Solutions Account Manager to join our Engineering Services team.

About the Role

This is not a traditional sales role.

We are looking for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys working with customers, solving technical problems and turning those solutions into opportunities.

You may be an Electrical Engineer looking to move into a customer focused commercial role, or an experienced Electrician or Electrical Technician with strong customer and account management skills.

You will work directly with customers to understand their electrical assets, identify problems and develop practical solutions across repairs, modifications, upgrades and specialist electrical services.

The role combines technical knowledge, account management, estimating and business development, with support from Nilsen's engineering, estimating and operational teams.

You will manage opportunities from the initial site discussion through technical development, proposal, negotiation and ultimately project award.

This reflects the core responsibilities, including understanding customer problems, recommending repairs, modifications and upgrades, and documenting the solution so both the customer and Nilsen's Operations team understand what is required.

What You'll Be Doing

- Build and manage relationships with key industrial and commercial customers
- Attend customer sites and assess electrical systems, equipment and requirements
- Interpret electrical drawings and understand existing electrical infrastructure
- Identify faults, obsolescence,



reliability issues and opportunities for improvement
- Develop practical repair, retrofit, modification and upgrade solutions
- Prepare budgets, estimates, proposals and technical recommendations
- Work with Nilsen's engineering and operational teams to develop and deliver solutions
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to order placement
- Develop new business while growing existing customer accounts
- Identify opportunities across Nilsen's broader Engineering Services offering
- Maintain an active pipeline of proposals and customer opportunities

About You

We are particularly interested in people who have robust electrical knowledge combined with the ability to build relationships and communicate with customers.

You will ideally have experience within the electrical industry across areas such as industrial electrical systems, switchgear, maintenance, testing, construction, engineering or electrical services.

You should have an electrical, communications, trade or engineering background and identifies a graduate engineer looking to move into sales as a desirable candidate profile.
