About the role

GDR Electrical Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis in South Gippsland, based in Leongatha. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable electrical services company, contributing to a diverse range of projects whilst delivering high-quality workmanship.

What you'll be doing

- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Reading and interpreting electrical PIDs, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Performing fault finding/trouble-shooting electrical systems
- Ensuring all work complies with electrical safety standards, and regulations
- Performing preventative maintenance on electrical installations to maximize efficiency and longevity
- Covering maintenance shifts in food/dairy factories
- Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members on project sites
- Communicating clearly with clients regarding work progress, timelines, and any issues that arise
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

What we're looking for

- A valid electrical license
- Proven experience working as an electrician in industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, building codes,



and work health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, circuit testers, and insulation testers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where required
- Flexibility to potentially work early mornings, afternoon and night shifts
- Reliability, punctuality, and a skilled approach to work
- A valid driving license and reliable transportation
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
