ABsolute Workplace Solutions (ABWS) is a specialist workplace advisory firm providing employment relations, industrial relations and HR support to organisations navigating compliance, workforce challenges and workplace strategy. ABWS currently has a strong focus within the aged care, health, community and disability sectors.

We’re a small, skilled team known for being pragmatic, responsive and easy to work with. We’re now looking for an Employment Relations Advisor to join us in a part-time, permanent capacity (2 days per week to start), with the potential for additional days as the business grows.

The Opportunity

This is a great role for someone who enjoys research, supporting others and producing high-quality written work. The role will also appeal to those who are comfortable working in a small business environment and operating independently. The main focus of the role will, at least in the initial stages, be to support our experienced legal practitioners and contribute to a wide range of ER/IR deliverables.

Indicative Working Arrangements

- Permanent part-time (2 days per week initially)
- Hybrid, with in-office attendance in Chatswood each Wednesday
- $60-$65 per hour plus super (indicative)
- Please note that contractor arrangements will not be considered

Key Responsibilities Depending on your experience, your work will include:

- Supporting legal advisors with employment relations research
- Drafting and updating employment contracts, enterprise agreements, policies and procedures
- Drafting client correspondence, written responses and client reports




- Contributing to blog/newsletter articles and supporting social media content

About You

You’ll likely bring

- Strong experience in employment relations / HR advisory work (3 years plus is indicative), combined with a sound knowledge of employment-related legislation
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, high-quality written documents
- Experience drafting employment-related agreements, policies and procedures
- An understanding of enterprise agreements
- A natural curiosity, supported by strong research skills
- The ability to work independently, be highly organised and maintain strong attention to detail
- Exceptional reliability and a strong customer service focus
- Flexibility to take on additional hours of work as and when required (preferred, not essential)
- Exposure to the SCHADS Award (preferred, not essential)

Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (such as ER/IR, HR or Law) are preferred, combined with suitable experience. Why ABWS?
