About the position:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Generation to join our Enterprise Architecture team at Snowy Hydro. Reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, this role acts as a strategic visionary, orchestrating the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated system solutions across our operational generation and asset ecosystem.

You will be responsible for defining and driving the enterprise target architecture for our generation assets, working closely with engineering, operations, and technology teams to optimise information management, mitigate technology risks, and ensure IT/OT solutions align with Snowy Hydro’s long-term growth and operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Business Strategy & Alignment: Lead the articulation, alignment, and maintenance of an architecture strategy that supports long-term operational growth, integrating disparate systems across operational units while applying enterprise standards and security policies to mitigate asset and IT risks.
- Stakeholder Management & Collaboration: Maintain high-impact communication with internal stakeholders, engineering leads, and technical teams to broker consensus-based solutions and advocate enterprise architecture best practices across complex operational environments.
- Project Management & Technical Guidance: Develop comprehensive architectural roadmaps for generation systems from inception to implementation; lead proof-of-concept projects and offer expert advisory to solve complex technical challenges.
- Leadership & Capability Development: Inspire and mentor technical and architectural talent, fostering a high-performing architecture culture committed to continuous capability uplift and alignment with business objectives.

About the location: This position is based in Sydney.

About you:

- Asset-Intensive & Operational Background: Genuine enterprise architecture experience in asset-intensive, operations-heavy businesses (e.g.,



energy generation, mining, utilities, or heavy manufacturing) working alongside engineers and controllable physical assets.
- Architectural Experience & Frameworks: Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture within complex environments, with deep knowledge of modern IT architectures, enterprise frameworks (such as TOGAF or Zachman), and complex integration patterns.
- Strategic Roadmapping & Governance: Demonstrated ability to translate operational domain requirements into clear technology roadmaps, apply enterprise risk and governance controls, and guide projects through to successful production delivery.
- Communication & Collaboration: Robust interpersonal skills with proven capability to engage constructively across engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams to achieve strategic architectural alignment.
- Discretion & Safety Focus: Ability to handle sensitive operational and strategic technical details with high discretion, paired with a steadfast commitment to workplace safety and organizational values.
