We're looking for a motivated and results-driven professional who wants to do more than just deliver events. This role is for someone who is driven to elevate triathlon to the next level, expand the sport's reach, grow participation, strengthen partnerships, and create exceptional experiences for athletes, members, sponsors, and the wider community.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Executive Director, you'll lead the planning and delivery of major events while contributing to the organisation's commercial success through partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue growth opportunities.

You'll be at the centre of operations, connecting stakeholders, managing logistics, solving problems, and driving initiatives that help our events and organisation continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead event planning, operations, and delivery from concept to completion.

- Manage relationships with sponsors, partners, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

- Support commercial growth through sponsorship activation and partnership development.

- Identify opportunities to increase participation, revenue, and event quality.

- Coordinate event staffing, contractors, volunteers,



and on-ground operations.

- Work with the marketing team to deliver engaging event promotions and communications.

- Support Race Directors in delivering State Series and Championship events.

- Provide hands-on leadership on event days and ensure seamless event execution.

- Contribute to broader organisational projects and strategic initiatives

About you:

You’re someone who enjoys taking responsibility, building relationships, and delivering outcomes you can measure and see.

- Experienced in delivering events or managing multiple projects

- Demonstrate a member-focused approach, supporting the triathlon community through the delivery of high-quality events, programs and services.

- Comfortable engaging with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders

- Commercially aware - understand how events can drive revenue & growth

- Calm under pressure and able to make decisions when it counts

- Highly organised with strong attention to detail

- Comfortable leading while also rolling up your sleeves when needed
- A proactive problem-solver who takes initiative

- Able to work flexible hours, including some weekends, with time-in-lieu provided

- Event management or related experience (essential)

This role is ideally full-time; however, we are open to considering a 0.8 FTE arrangement for an exceptional candidate.

This is more than event delivery - you’ll play a key role in growing the commercial strength of events, increasing participation and reach, and ensuring greater investment can be reinvested back into the sport.
