- An exciting opportunity to work closely with the Vice-President (First Nations)
- A varied and rewarding role with a broad range of responsibilities
- A supportive and collaborative team environment.

About the opportunity The Executive Assistant / Project Coordinator is a pivotal role at the heart of the First Nations Portfolio (FNP), providing high-level executive support to the Vice-President (First Nations) while helping drive the delivery of the Portfolio’s evolving priorities. Working closely with the Head of Operations, the Executive Officer and the rest of the FNP team, you will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Vice-President, manage competing priorities and projects, and build robust relationships across ANU and with external stakeholders. This is a role for someone who can anticipate what is needed, bring structure to complexity, and use sound judgement, discretion and diplomacy in every interaction.

You will have the opportunity to coordinate high-priority projects, support strategic decision-making, build influential relationships, and strengthen Portfolio operations.

This is a chance to play a key role in a dynamic and high-profile portfolio, working at the intersection of executive support, project coordination, policy and stakeholder engagement.

About the area The First Nations Portfolio (FNP) works with colleagues across the University and beyond to ensure that ANU is a leader in teaching and research of First Nations issues.

It also works to ensure that the University makes a leading contribution to national policy in the relationship between Indigenous Australians and the nation.

FNP provides an environment for debating significant and strategic issues and seeks to partner with communities, their representative organisations and enterprises to further the status, recognition and lives of Indigenous peoples. Achieving this outcome requires constant attention to impact, engagement and partnership with First Nations communities, and a commitment to innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to our work.
