Role Description The Exercise Physiologist is a contract, on-site role based in Strathfield, NSW, responsible for delivering clinical exercise interventions to clients with a range of health conditions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting initial assessments, developing individualized exercise prescriptions, and monitoring client progress to ensure safe and effective rehabilitation. The role involves facilitating one-on-one sessions, educating clients on exercise, lifestyle modification, and risk-factor management, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

The Exercise

Physiologist will collaborate with other health professionals, contribute to care planning, and support quality improvement initiatives within the service. This position requires a strong commitment to professional practice standards and compassionate, client-centered care.

Qualifications and Skills

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, with accreditation or eligibility for accreditation with a recognized professional body (e.g., ESSA or equivalent).
- Current professional Indemnity Insurance.




- Candidates should possess strong skills in Exercise Physiology and general Physiology, with the ability to apply evidence-based principles to diverse clinical presentations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation, including experience working with clients recovering from chronic disease or injury.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Exercise Prescription, including the design, implementation, and progression of safe, tailored exercise programs.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical or community-based exercise interventions and familiarity with risk screening and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic digital health systems; commitment to ongoing career development.
- Current CPR certification; working rights in Australia.

Pay: $90.00 per hour
