About the role

We are seeking experienced HC (Heavy Combination) Truck Drivers to join our growing team at MKD Transcorp in Laverton North, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering an immediate start for the right candidates. In addition, there are part-time and casual roles also available.

As an MKD HC Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy combination vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting goods across various routes whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and road safety. This role is critical to our operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Your key responsibilities

- Operating heavy combination vehicles safely and in accordance with all relevant road transport legislation and company policies
- Planning and executing efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and client requirements
- Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in protected working order
- Maintaining accurate logbooks and documentation, including delivery records and fuel usage
- Supervising the loading/unloading process to ensure goods are transported securely and legally




- Communicating effectively and in real time with dispatch, management and customers regarding deliveries and any issues that may arise
- Adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations and company operational procedures at all times
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour with clients and colleagues
- Participating in ongoing training and safety initiatives as required

What we're looking for

- Current HC (Heavy Combination) Truck Driving Licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2-3 years' professional current and continuous experience driving heavy combination vehicles
- A strong safety record and demonstrated commitment to road safety best practices
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Fatigue Management (HVFM) or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of Australian road transport legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to meet delivery schedules
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
- Experience with digital logbooks and transport management systems is advantageous

Additional further considerations (highly sought after and valued)





- Side loader experience and desire to operate MKD side loaders as part of the role
- Current MSIC accreditation and card
- Multi-drop/pick up experience especially in retail and e-commerce
- Flexibility to work in rosters both AM and PM, weekday and weekends/public holidays
