About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Marine Fabricator / Welder (First Class) to join our professional team in Henderson. This role focuses on high-quality aluminium vessel refits, structural repairs, conversions, and maintenance work. Key Responsibilities

- Interpret technical drawings, structural blueprints, and repair scopes to execute marine fabrication tasks.
- Perform high-standard aluminium welding (MIG and TIG) for structural vessel repairs, plate replacements, and custom modifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit aluminium components for hulls, decks, superstructures, and internal fittings.
- Operate workshop equipment safely, including press brakes, guillotines, rollers, plasma cutters, and grinders.
- Conduct quality and visual weld checks to meet relevant marine safety and trade standards.
- Work collaboratively with shipwrights, engineers, and clients in office and in the workshop to deliver precise refit solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

- Experience:



Minimum 5 years of proven experience in marine aluminium fabrication, vessel refits, or structural repair work.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Welder First Class) or equivalent trade qualification highly regarded.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in marine-grade aluminium MIG and TIG welding across various plate gauges.
- Trade Skills: Confident in blueprint reading, marking out, cutting, surface preparation, and finishing.
- Requirements: Current Australian Work Rights and a valid Australian Driver's Licence.
