The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Expertise Counsel to join our Corporate Transactions team in Sydney. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a long-term commitment to their career in corporate law within a firm that will back their development and ambitions. This is an chance for a technical and client focused Expertise lawyer to be part of a team at the forefront of legal innovation and excellence. Supporting partners and lawyers to achieve exceptional levels of productivity, quality and client satisfaction.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

- 7-8 years experience working in a knowledge function or looking to transition from a fee earning, in-house or academic position into an Expertise Counsel role.
- A range of experience across corporate law including public and private M&A;, capital raisings, the Corporations Act and the ASX listing rules.
- Genuinely interested in corporate law, coupled with a commercial mindset, experience monitoring regulatory and market updates with the ability to proactively identify and help coordinate business development initiatives.
- Strong drafting skills and interest in developing and maintaining standard documents, guidance and other know-how.
- Focus on team orientation, with the drive to mentor and support junior colleagues - passionate about ongoing development effective learning platforms for lawyers, inspiring enthusiasm for learning, eagerness to share knowledge
