The Opportunity

This is not a standard technician role. We are looking for a passionate Senior Refrigeration Mechanic (or Dual Trade) who is ready to step up. While you will hit the ground running with hands-on technical work, we are specifically looking for someone with the drive and ability to grow into a leadership position. You will be instrumental in mentoring apprentices, leading by example, and helping us shape the future of our service delivery. If you take pride in connecting with customers, solving complex problems, and want to work for a company that genuinely cares about sustainability and its impact on the community, this is the role for you.

Your Responsibilities

You will work across domestic, commercial and real estate-managed properties, delivering high-quality service while acting as a senior figure within the field team.

- Perform high-quality split system and ducted A/C installations.
- Conduct thorough preventative maintenance, servicing, and fault finding.
- Lead and mentor apprentices, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Build solid, trusting relationships with customers through professional and friendly communication.
- Manage job sites independently, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness.
- Contribute to our sustainability goals by advising clients on energy-efficient solutions.
- Assist with electrical work (if dual-trade)



and occasional light commercial projects.

What We Are Looking For

We need a technician who combines technical expertise with the soft skills required for future leadership.

- Qualifications: Fully qualified Refrigeration Mechanic (Cert III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) or Dual Trade.
- Leadership Potential: A natural ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
- Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for the trade and delivering the best outcomes for clients.
- Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the Excite Electrics brand positively.
- Values-Driven: A commitment to ethical work practices and an interest in sustainability.
- Technical Skill: Confidence in all aspects of installation, maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
- Presentation: Neat, organised, and takes pride in vehicle and tool presentation.
