Deputy Electrical Manager – Utility Scale Solar - DIDO and FIFO considered

Location: Muswellbrook
n
Salary: $150-180k + super, $20k car allowance, 10% site allowance ($203-239,600k package)
n
Roster: 10/4 (DIDO and FIFO considered for the role)
n
The Prospect We are seeking an experienced Deputy Electrical Manager to join a major utility-scale solar project. This is a senior leadership role overseeing electrical engineering, construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities across the project.
n
You will lead electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians and subcontractors, ensuring electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and oversee electrical engineering and site activities across the project.
n
- Manage electrical installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
n
- Lead and support Electrical Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians and subcontractors.
n
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documentation.
n
- Coordinate electrical works with project teams, consultants, suppliers and other disciplines.
n
- Monitor programme, budgets, resources and overall electrical project delivery.
n
- Identify technical issues and drive practical solutions and corrective actions.
n
- Support procurement through technical review of electrical equipment and materials.
n
- Oversee quality inspections, testing and project documentation.
n
- Prepare progress and technical reports for project leadership.
n
- Ensure strong HSE, quality and compliance standards across all electrical activities.
n

About You
n
n
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- 7–12 years' experience across electrical engineering, construction or project delivery.
n
- 3–5+ years' experience in a supervisory or management position.
n
- Proven experience managing electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
n
- Experience across solar, renewable energy, infrastructure, industrial or major construction projects highly regarded.
n
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and engineering practices.
n
- Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
n
- Strong leadership, planning, coordination and decision-making skills.
n
- Experience managing resources, contractors and project priorities.
n
- Strong understanding of HSE and quality requirements.
n
