NewGen Glass & Aluminium is a Melbourne based architectural façade company. We have a facade package starting in Warrnambool, in south-west Victoria, and we are looking for experienced installers to join our crew on it.
This is away work. Please do not apply if you are not willing to travel for work.
About the role
Install curtain wall and window wall systems to approved shop drawings, set out and fix brackets and framing off structure, install cladding systems, and perform caulking, weather sealing and finishing to detail. Work at height using appropriate access equipment and fall protection, check your own work as you go and rectify defects, and work in with site management and other trades to keep the program moving.
Key responsibilities
- Install curtain wall and window wall systems to approved shop drawings
- Set out and fix brackets and framing off structure
- Install cladding systems
- Caulking, weather sealing and finishing to detail
- Work at height using the appropriate access equipment and fall protection
- Check your own work as you go and rectify defects
- Work in with site management and other trades to keep the program moving
About you
- Experience across the full scope of facade work — curtain wall, window wall, brackets, cladding and caulking
- Ability to read and work from shop drawings
- Works well in a crew and can be trusted to take their own section and see it through
- Reliability and ability to turn up and finish what you start
- Current White Card, Working at Heights and EWP tickets
- Driver's licence
- Full working rights in Australia
