Join our Infrastructure and Facilities team
We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator to join Minda's Infrastructure and Facilities team.
Working across a diverse property portfolio, you'll help ensure critical building infrastructure, essential services and technical systems operate safely, efficiently and compliantly. From coordinating maintenance and contractor activities to monitoring building systems and supporting projects, you'll play an important role in keeping our environments safe and functional for the people we support.
Working alongside experienced facilities professionals, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of building services, compliance programs and asset management activities while continuing to develop your career within a supportive team.
Who will thrive in this role
You are someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative and down-to-earth team, and have an approachable, easy-going nature. You are comfortable taking direction, open to feedback, eager to learn, and focused on practical solutions.
What you'll do
- Coordinate planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities across Minda's property portfolio.
- Monitor and respond to technical issues, alarms and service requests relating to building infrastructure and essential services.
- Support statutory maintenance and compliance programs across HVAC, electrical, fire, hydraulic,
lighting control and building safety systems.
- Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Manage maintenance work orders, asset information and compliance records through asset management systems.
- Assist with contractor onboarding, compliance monitoring and documentation requirements.
- Support minor capital works, asset renewal programs and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Assist with access control systems, security infrastructure and key management processes.
- Build positive working relationships with contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders across the organisation.
What you'll bring
You are proactive, organised and solutions-focused, with a strong technical understanding of building systems and maintenance operations. You enjoy being hands-on, take ownership of your work and can confidently manage competing priorities.
You are equally comfortable responding to urgent maintenance issues, coordinating contractors, analysing building system information and maintaining accurate compliance records. Most importantly, you enjoy working as part of a team and are motivated by making a positive contribution. You will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities, building services or technical works within complex facilities.
- Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, fire services, hydraulics, warm water systems,
lighting controls and other essential infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret Building Management System (BMS) information and respond to system alarms and faults.
- Understanding of contractor management, asset management principles and planned maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and compliance obligations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Sound computer literacy and experience using maintenance, asset management or work order systems.
This role would suit individuals with experience in facilities management, maintenance coordination, asset management, building services, property operations or related fields. We value transferable skills and encourage applications from candidates who have developed strengths in coordinating contractors, managing maintenance programs, supporting compliance activities and delivering operational services.
