About the Role The Facilities & Asset Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant and effective operation of SSI's facilities through the coordination of maintenance activities, contractor engagement, asset management, compliance documentation, building inspections and facilities-related reporting.
The role maintains facilities and asset records, coordinates preventative and reactive maintenance activities, supports emergency management processes and assists in ensuring compliance with relevant building, safety and operational requirements.
The role works closely with the Office Manager, Facilities team, contractors and internal stakeholders to identify, track and resolve facilities, maintenance and asset-related issues.
We’re looking for a practical and proactive facilities professional who can take ownership of day-to-day building operations, maintenance and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating contractors, conducting inspections, managing assets and facilities records, and ensuring compliance and safety requirements are met. They’ll be highly organised, solutions-focused and comfortable managing competing priorities, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Most importantly, they’ll be someone who spots issues before they become problems, follows things through to completion and looks for ways to continuously improve facilities and workplace operations.

Essential Criteria
- Relevant Facilities/Property/Building qualification or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience in facilities operations, building maintenance and contractor coordination.
- Understanding of building compliance, emergency management, safety and risk management.
- Experience maintaining asset registers, compliance records and facilities documentation.
- Ability to conduct building inspections, identify issues and track corrective actions.
- Strong organisation, problem-solving,
communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facilities management systems.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in facilities, property or building operations.
- Experience coordinating contractors, maintenance programs and compliance activities.
- Experience with building audits, inspections, certifications and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing utilities, assets, reporting and emergency/site safety activities.
