Australian owned Steel Staircase manufacturing small business situated in Carrum Downs. We have been manufacturing Steel Stairs & Balustrading for over 30 years. We build quality steel stairs and balustrading which includes a variety of styles from Single Stringer & Double Stringer, Cantilevered & Spiral Stairs (internal & external).

We do Domestic, Commercial, Industrial & General Fabrication and pride ourselves in our quality workmanship.

Qualifications & experience

- Experience in using Machinery, Power Tools, Cutting & Drilling

- Specific experience with angle grinders, band saws, and drill press machinery is required

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience using machinery, power tools, cutting and drilling is required

- Sanding & Spray Painting an advantage

- Current drivers licence required (Manual licence an advantage)

- Must be self motivated & willing to learn, physically fit & hardworking, efficient,



competent and able to work independently and in a team

- Ability to perform heavy lifting of 20kg and meet the physically demanding requirements of this factory hand role

- Must have great communication skills, be reliable & punctual and have a can do attitude

- Welding Experience & Steel Fabrication an advantage

- Valid red or White Card preferred but not essential

- Forklift Licence preferred but not essential

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required for this position

Tasks & responsibilities

- Cutting & Drilling Steel, Assisting with preparing & cleaning components for the stairs to be manufactured

- Sanding and Spray Painting - Preparation Of Fabricated Stairs & Balustrading

- Assisting Fabricators where required

- Competent with all electrical tools & machinery

- Ability to adhere to safe work practices

- Ability to listen and take instruction and communicate clearly

- Working in a timely an effective manner with quality and accuracy

- Accurate use of a Tape Measure
