Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and working closely with the wider business, you will help turn financial and operational data into insight.
You will have broad exposure across FP&A;, management reporting, financial control, forecasting, modelling, audit, governance and finance operations. - Accounting Policy & Technical Accounting – You develop and maintain accounting policies, prepare technical position papers, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Management reporting & performance analysis – You prepare monthly management reporting, analyse actual results against budget, forecast and prior periods, identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities, and support reporting and insights for leadership teams.
- Financial controls & governance – You maintain effective financial controls and finance processes, and support compliance with delegated authorities and financial approval frameworks.
- Audit, statutory reporting & compliance – You coordinate information and deliverables for external audit, and support preparation of statutory financial reporting.
- Vendor & finance administration – You maintain finance records relating to vendors and contracts, and support vendor onboarding and financial approval processes.
- Finance systems, data, AI & automation – You identify opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting activities, using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Business partnering – You build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business, helping leaders understand their financial performance and key drivers.
About You We don’t expect you to tick every box, but we’re looking for a finance professional who is analytical, curious and ready to get hands-on across planning, reporting and controls:
- CA, CPA, part-qualified or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in FP&A;, commercial finance, financial analysis, accounting or a similar finance role.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills, including advanced Excel capability.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and month-end financial reporting processes.
- Understanding of P&L;, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and solve financial and process issues.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how a business operates.
Nice to have
- Telecommunications, technology, subscription or high-volume customer business experience.
- Experience with Power BI, ERP or other financial planning systems.
- Experience using AI or automation tools.
- External audit experience, or experience preparing or supporting statutory financial reporting.
- Experience in a high-growth or transformation environment.
Key Focus Areas In Your First Few Months You'll focus on building context,
creating visibility and delivering early impact. Your priorities will include:
- Get across More’s month-end, reporting and forecasting processes and timetables.
- Build working relationships with the Head of Commercial Finance and key stakeholders across the business.
- Support the current budgeting, forecasting and reporting cycle while learning the detail behind the numbers.
- Identify quick wins to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency or automation.
- Understand existing financial controls, vendor arrangements and audit requirements.
- Begin contributing to commercial analysis and business case support where needed.
