LO-GO Appointments are currently assisting a Shire based within the Murchison region of Western Australia in their search for a Finance Officers or a Finance Coordinator.

The Shire is looking for motivated and experienced finance individuals to join their team. We are looking for Finance Officers and Finance Coordinators with local government experience who are looking for their next challenge. These are temporary positions for up to six months with an opportunity for permanency for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidates will be required to be located and work on-site from the Shire Office.

Essential Criteria

- Experience in Local Government financial procedures and relevant legislation
- Knowledge of local government specific software packages - Synergy Soft would be highly regarded
- Strong numeracy and computer skills knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills




- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with strong prioritisation skills

The ideal candidate will have:

- Tertiary Qualifications and/or previous experience in a similar role;

Due to the specific nature of the role, applicants with no relevant experience in Finance in Local Government will not be considered. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within Finance in the Local Government industry.
