Position Summary

As Finance Manager, the position is responsible for managing and coordinating the financial activities of Virtus Group Australia and supporting management in the financial planning and performance of its telecommunications, technology and infrastructure operations.

The role provides financial oversight across the organisation’s business activities and projects, including telecommunications and networking, infrastructure design and construction, fibre and connectivity projects, EV charging infrastructure, technology integration, and related business operations.

Key Responsibility:

- Determine, implement, monitor, review and evaluate budgetary and accounting strategies, policies and financial plans in consultation with senior management and other Managers to support Virtus Group’s operational and strategic objectives.
- Provide financial information, analysis and advice to senior management and interpret the implications of financial performance, project expenditure, profitability and funding requirements for the organisation’s telecommunications, technology and infrastructure operations.
- Coordinate the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting systems, financial processes and internal controls to ensure accurate financial management across the organisation and its business activities.
- Direct and oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow information, management reports and financial analyses that summarise and forecast the organisation’s financial position, earnings and future income.




- Assess capital finance proposals and evaluate the financial status and viability of operational and infrastructure projects, including telecommunications, networking, construction, fibre, EV charging and technology-related projects.
- Advise senior management on investment strategies, sources of funds, financing arrangements and the appropriate allocation and distribution of business earnings, taking into consideration the organisation’s operational and project requirements.
- Deliver long-range profit forecasts, annual budgets and financial reporting, and monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets and forecasts to identify significant variances and financial risks.
- Analyse project and operational costs, revenue and profitability and provide recommendations to management to improve financial performance, cost efficiency and resource allocation.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable and funding requirements to ensure that the organisation has sufficient financial resources to meet its operational and project commitments.
- Work with project and operational Managers to review project budgets,



expenditure and financial performance and provide financial advice throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and implementation through to completion.
- Ensure the organisation’s financial activities, accounting practices and reporting comply with applicable financial legislation, accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, professional advisers and other relevant stakeholders in relation to financial reporting, taxation, banking, funding and other financial matters.
- Provide financial advice and recommendations to senior management to support business expansion, project investment, operational planning and strategic decision-making across Virtus Group’s telecommunications and infrastructure activities.
- Review financial processes and identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting accuracy, cost management and overall financial efficiency.
- Engage & Maintain related business financial standings and potential opportunities in ASEAN and Indonesia
