The Role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a broad and hands-on accounting position within a well-established, purpose-driven organisation. You will take ownership of month-end reporting, reconciliations, compliance activities, and stakeholder support across a diverse range of entities and operations.

This role offers a unique blend of technical accounting responsibilities and relationship-focused support, requiring someone who is equally comfortable preparing journals and reconciliations as they are assisting non-finance stakeholders with day-to-day financial processes. Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end month-end close including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Preparation of management reports and financial analysis for key stakeholders
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Prepare BAS, GST and other compliance-related requirements
- Support year-end financial reporting and external audit processes
- Process and review credit card transactions, expense acquittals and supporting documentation
- Assist a range of internal stakeholders with day-to-day accounting and financial administration matters
- Monitor cash movements, banking transactions and investment reporting
- Maintain fixed asset registers and process depreciation journals
- Review and improve existing finance processes and controls
- Support the wider finance team across operational and project-based activities as required

About You

You are a compassionate and adaptable accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative,



values-driven environment. Whilst technically robust, you also possess the interpersonal skills required to support a broad stakeholder group and provide a high level of service.

You will bring

- Previous experience as a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Senior Accountant or similar
- CA/CPA qualification or near completion
- Strong month-end, financial reporting and reconciliation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
- High levels of patience, empathy and professionalism
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to assist where required
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience within not-for-profit, education, healthcare, community services or purpose-led organisations will be highly regarded
