About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to join our Finance team at our office in Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane. Reporting to our Senior Financial Accountant, this is a pivotal role in managing our financial manufacturing systems and processes, with key responsibilities including:
- Prepare weekly Profit & Loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly review of tax sensitive accounts and assist Tax Accountant with compiling workpapers for annual FBT and income tax returns for the assigned site
- Support the annual external audit by preparing requested audit documentation
- Balancing weekly inventory and meat reconciliations
- Reviewing and analysing financial performance against targets and budget
About You You must have the following experience/skills:
- Minimum accounting degree qualified
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Proven ability to analyse financial and operational data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- A highly organised, analytical approach to problem-solving and systems review.
- Newly or partly completed CA or CPA Program
Desirable:
- Previous exposure to agribusiness or a related industry.
- JD Edwards experience.
