This sophisticated mining services business with a large asset base is looking for a reporting specialist to support a very technical Financial Controller.

Our client is asset heavy and an integral part of Queensland. They are looking for a technical reporting specialist to contribute to streamlining and adding sophistication to the reporting pack.

With a reputation for delivering in their sector would will work with a high calibre Controller to deliver outcomes.

About the Role

You will get to take charge of disclosures, position papers and other year end requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with regulatory reporting obligations, liaising with internal/external auditors and supporting audit readiness
- Analyse and interpret accounting standards, advising on new requirements and their impact on financial reporting
- Review complex reconciliations, journals,



and support the month-end close process with a high level of accuracy
- Contribute to acquisition accounting and year end obligations around acquisitions
- Drive process improvements, knowledge sharing, and mentor junior staff members

About You: You will be CA/ CPA qualified, have had experience in a Big 4/ Mid-Tier firm, good understanding of complex accounting standards and have proven stakeholder engagement skills. Experience using large ERP and high Excel proficiency a must.
