I’m working with a growing, well-regarded multidisciplinary building services consultancy in Sydney looking to appoint a Senior/Fire Protection Engineer to its team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of fire protection design but also wants more ownership, direct client exposure and the opportunity to play a key role within a growing team .

Candidates from Engineer through to Principal level will be considered.

The Role

You’ll work across a varied portfolio of building projects, taking responsibility for fire protection design and delivery from concept through to construction.

Depending on your experience, responsibilities will include:

- Design and documentation of fire protection systems
- Sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel and associated fire services design
- Preparing calculations, specifications and technical documentation
- Coordinating with other building services disciplines, architects and project stakeholders
- Managing projects and maintaining strong client relationships
- Attending design, coordination and site meetings
- Reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and the NCC
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Supporting the continued growth of the Fire Protection capability

For Principal-level candidates , there is scope to take a broader role across technical leadership, client management,



mentoring and business development. About You To be considered, you’ll ideally have:

- 3+ years’ Fire Protection Engineering experience
- Previous experience within an Australian building services consultancy
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements
- Experience designing fire protection systems across building projects
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant engineering qualifications
