About the Role A great opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic Fire Equipment Technician with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our Darwin team. This is a full-time position, based in Winnellie, offering the successful candidate career progression opportunities with one of the leading Fire Protection Companies in Australia.
If required, Wormald will provide training to complete licencing requirements in the first 12 months of employment resulting in a nationally recognised Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
Working in a strong team environment, your solid work ethic and high degree of customer satisfaction will see you well rewarded with an attractive salary, standard 38-hour week (Monday to Friday), overtime rates for any extra hours, as a well as a fully maintained commercial vehicle to enable you to perform your duties.
Your primary duties will include:-
- Testing and repairs of fire protection equipment to Australian Standards including but not limited to; Fire Extinguishers, Hydrants and Hose Reels.
- Liaising with customers, fostering a courteous and professional business relationship.
- Ensuring compliance to Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Completing service records using smart device technology.
- Fire Equipment product sales across a diverse range of industries.
To be considered for this role, ideally you will need to have:
- Fire industry experience, would be highly regarded
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Must be eligible to obtain defence clearance
- Robust focus and commitment to workplace safety
- Excellent customer service and time management
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Good personal presentation
- Willingness to multi-skill into other areas of fire protection
- Good computer/smart device technology skills
