The Opportunity

Paper Crane is Crystalbrook Riley’s signature Asian fusion restaurant, bringing together bold flavours from across Asia with fresh tropical North Queensland produce. Set along the Cairns Esplanade, the venue moves from lively breakfast service to vibrant waterfront dinners, with a strong focus on quality, atmosphere and memorable guest experiences.

We are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the leadership team, with a particular focus on floor leadership and guest experience.

Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Paper Crane leadership teamm, you will lead from the floor, support the smooth running of each service and build capability across the tea. This is a hands-on role where you will set the pace, coach and guide others, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the warm, vibrant and polished experience Paper Crane is known for.

This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working 38 hours per week across a seven-day roster.

You Will Bring

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food and beverage supervisory role
- Experience within high-volume, premium dining or quality hospitality environments
- Strong understanding of sequence of service and guest experience delivery
- Confidence leading and supporting a team during busy service periods
- Great attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate guest and operational needs
- Strong communication skills and a warm, professional approach
- Ability to prioritise and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence using point-of-sale systems
- A current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
- Availability across a seven-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
