12V Electrical is one of the fastest-growing categories within 4WD Supacentre, and we're looking for a commercially driven National Category Manager to take it to the next level.

n

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, you'll take ownership of the category's growth, profitability and long-term strategy - Responsible for everything from sales and pricing to new product development, marketing, training, merchandising and product lifecycle planning.

You'll constantly be asking one question:

"What could this category be?"

The Opportunity

n

This is more than a traditional Category Manager role. You'll be at the steering wheel of our 12V Electrical category, developing and executing strategies that increase sales, gross profit and market share.

n

You'll work closely with our CRO, Product, Retail, Marketing and Content teams to identify new opportunities, improve our existing range and build a clear 2–3 year vision for the category.

What You'll Own

n

n
- Develop and execute the national 12V Electrical category strategy.
n
- Drive category growth, sales volume, gross profit and profitability against agreed objectives.
n
- Build rolling 12-month category and sales plans to support stock and supply requirements.
n
- Maintain a 2–3 year strategic roadmap covering product lifecycle, technology, innovation and category improvements.
n
- Identify new products, technologies and opportunities to grow market share.
n
- Partner with the Product team on new product development and range evolution.
n
- Own the successful go-to-market execution of new 12V Electrical product launches.
n
- Develop sales plans and execution strategies aligned with stock and commercial objectives.
n
- Provide quarterly forecasts covering sales quantity, GP and strategic product performance, refreshed monthly.
n
- Analyse and benchmark category performance across stores, online and other sales channels.
n
- Work with Marketing and Content to influence pricing, promotions, campaigns and category messaging.
n
- Influence merchandising and product positioning across stores and online.
n
- Develop company-wide 12V product training and education, including training modules, resources and hosted sessions.
n
- Project-manage cross-functional sales initiatives and influence stock positioning to achieve category objectives.
n
- Establish clear FY objectives and a three-year vision for the category.

About You

n





We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial capability with genuine 12V Electrical product knowledge.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Strong experience in category management, product management, commercial management and sales leadership.
n
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of 12V Electrical products and systems.
n
- A proven ability to grow a product category and deliver against sales, volume and gross profit targets.
n
- Strong understanding of category planning, forecasting and product lifecycle management.
n
- Experience identifying new products and market opportunities.
n
- Strong commercial and analytical capability.
n
- Experience successfully launching new products to market.
n
- The ability to translate technical product knowledge into effective sales and training strategies.
n
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management across Product, Retail, Marketing, Content and Supply.
n
- Experience within 4WD, automotive accessories, camping, outdoor, electrical or related industries would be highly regarded.
n
- A growth mindset with the ability to challenge what's currently possible and turn strategy into execution.
n
