Position Details

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a single-stream regional school catering for about 220 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.

n

We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and passionate Junior Primary Teacher who is vibrant, enthusiastic and motivated and loves working in a collaborative, fun and engaging environment.

n

The position is a Temporary Full time position, with the possibility of being extended into the future.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

- A practising Catholic who has a commitment to contribute to the Catholicity of the school and its community
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team
n
- A good understanding of the WA Curriculum with the ability to organise,



select and design data driven content and instruction demonstrating differentiated learning for all students
n
- A strong understanding of how to teach Literacy and Numeracy integrating EYLF and NQS
n
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills and hold high expectations about children's ability to learn
n
- An understanding of Explicit teaching and the use of High Impact Teaching Strategies
n
- A willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school and take on extra roles as required
n
- A positive, enthusiastic and dynamic demeanour
n
- High level of skills in digital technologies and a commitment to use them as an integral part of the learning environment
n
- Willingness to be a reflective member of a professional learning community

Qualifications Required

Relevant 4 Year tertiary teaching qualification

n

Accreditation to Teach Religious Education

n
